16-09 BRAND NEW DAY

visit dat liedje voor sos to check out the clip and footage shot in ghana this august for sos kinderdorpen. the release of the song 'brand new day' of christophe haddad will be broadcasted tonight on rtl boulevard and in other media. by purchasing the song you directly contribute 0,35 euro (of 0,99 euro) to sos kinderdorpen. purchase it here.

21-08 GUINEA BISSAU

did a week of filming in guinea bissau (west africa) together with dutch actress dorien haan. we visited a sos children's village in canchungo and bissau. footage will be used for online purposes in the fall of this year.

11-08 WATERSHOTS WITH THE SONY EX1

we have a new waterproof setup: the sony xdcam hd ex1 camera and a custom made waterhousing. this housing is made to swim with and film above the surface. a big difference in operation comparing to a heavy housing made for diving. controls like aperture, zoom, focus are accessible. so if you need watershots from your beautiful yacht on the lake, radical surfing action in big waves or anything else, let us know.

11-08 SOS BELGIUM ADOPTS VINI, SOS ITALY ADOPTS MOUNA

the sos kinderdorpen commercial 'mouna' has been adopted by sos italy [sos villagi dei bambini], as the 5th european country in a row. the footage is gonna be aired on the national tv stations. besides this sos belgium [sos villages d'enfants] has adopted the brazil 'vini' spot.

21-07 GHANA

did a trip to ghana (accra, tema, asiakwa, kumasi) for sos kinderdorpen together with christophe haddad (dutch GTST-actor). filmed several things in the sos villages and around. in september there are gonna be broadcasted several things of this shoot... keep your eyes open.

29-06 REGENBOOG SAILING CLUB HOLLAND

filmed the 'regenboogclub' during their event on the 'bergsche plas'. beautiful sailing boats filmed from the land, boat and water.

12-06 PROTEST PHOTOSHOOT USA

just came back from the protest photoshoot summer 2009. travelling around southern california together with the protest surfers christian boletta, lars musschoot, anne paar and yannick de jager. shot footage from water and land at newport beach, oceanside and trestles. big cars, big sharks and big surfing culture.

10-06 HIZKIA VANN KRALINGEN

together with de woeste hoogte we have made a new concept in webdesign: video being the core of the website. we filmed hizkia van kralingen's services: for example transporting a rembrandt and a mondriaan from museum to museum, restauration and it's depot.

21-05 JULIEN DUPONT, RED BULL

filmed and edited footage of red bull trial x rider julien dupont from france while visiting holland. julien has been trial biking in different cities in holland (rotterdam, amsterdam, utrecht). his action to bike over the bridge at eefde was aired on dutch sbs 6 and the 'jeugdjournaal'. a chunk was edited at de haaien and will be broadcasted on mtv on friday 4th of july.

13-05 UNILEVER SCHAFFHAUSEN

flew to zürich/ schaffhausen to film the new building of unilever for newDirections. Based on the videofootage, pixelpool will be creating a 3D animated clip to show it's new habitants their new workingspace.

05-05 SOS NORWAY ADOPTS VINI DRTV SPOT

after last year's mouna commercial, sos-barnebyer had adopted the vini spot. the mouna commercial has been very succesful so far, so hoping this new material will help them online to gain more.

18-02 BELGIUM ADOPTS DRTV COMMERCIAL

as fifth sos country in a row, also belgium [sos kinderdorpen] has adopted the mouna drtv commercial.

17-02 RED BULL PROFILES, SOUTH AFRICA & SINGAPORE

just returned for a 10 day trip to south africa and singapore for red bull holland, together with ave media. we were there to shoot kiteboarder ruben lenten, windsurfer kevin mevissen (both in cape town) and wakeboarder denise de haan in singapore. we did like a big u-turn around the globe, many hours of travelling but all worth it!

off to shoot dimi de jong, a dutch red bull atlete in snowboarding. with ave media, i will be filming his moves during the dutch championships in laax, switzerland.

15-01 SOS KINDERDORFER ADOPTS DRTV COMMERCIAL

after sos children's villages the netherlands, denmark and norway, now also germany [sos kinderdörfer] has adopted the mouna drtv commercial. they will soon will be using it for their online campaign. at the moment they have over 2.3 million promotors in germany [193 million euro]. lets hope mouna will help them gain a lot more.

just returned from a trip to poá, sao paulo, brazil to film in sos children's village poá for a new campaign. besides this lots of interviews with children, mothers, benificiants etc.

23-11 NORWAY ADOPTS DRTV COMMERCIAL

after sos children's villages the netherlands and denmark, also norway [sos-barnebyer] has adopted the mouna drtv commercial. they soon will be using this commercial for their online campaign.

back from a full power production at the 2007 edition of the red bull knockout. spaako produced several items/ webclips, for the internet and tv (broadcasted at the live show on rtl7). thanks to ave media for letting me do the job!

24-10 DRTV COMMERCIAL WINS 1ST INTERNATIONAL GOLD STAR AWARD

the drtv commercial 'mouna' made for sos children's villages the netherlands, filmed and edited by spaako in uganda earlier this year, has won the first international gold star award for excellence in fundraising drtv. the drtv commercial has already been adopted by sos children's villages denmark [sos-borneby.dk], where the commercial will be broadcasted soon.

14-10 RED BULL SOUNDCLASH, TILBURG

just shot the red bull soundclash between peter pan speedrock and electric eel shock in 013, tilburg. a serious musical battle between the bands, with e.e.s. as the winner...webclip will be online soon.

28-08 FUNDAÇION HOPE, CUZCO, PERU

off to cuzco, peru to shoot a documentary for the dutch foundation hope. in 2.5 weeks we will be filming remote villages in the high altitude of the andes. the foundation works together with the local indian communities, ministry of education, teachers, constructors etc. to provide schools and good education for the children in the remote areas around cuzco.

09-06 PROTEST BOARDWEAR KITEBOARDING VIDEOSHOOT, FUERTEVENTURA

returned from the protest boardwear videoshoot with kiteboarders jo wilson, christiaan brouwer and ralph karstens from the protest team. a trip into the island of fuerteventura. the footage will be used for a corporate sports dvd together with wakeboarding action from the protest team in hungary. will be used for promotional activities and to be played in protest shops around europe.

28-05 DRTV SPOT SOS CHILDREN'S VILLAGES GULU, UGANDA

returned from shooting a direct response tv spot for sos children's villages the netherlands. an amazing journey into the north of uganda, where twenty-year war between the uganda government and the lra has left it's scars. let's hope the spot will gain a lot of money to support orphaned and abandoned children in gulu and other regions where help is needed. to see some of the life of the people in gulu, read the blog of village director charles!

11-05 NEWDIRECTIONS/ USCC, SCHAFFHAUSEN, SUISSE

flew today to zurich and took the train to schaffhausen to shoot a 'building' clip for newdirections/ unilever supply chain company. the building will be completed in 2008.

10-05 INTERFIELD SPORTS 24 YEARS

finished editing a 24 years of interfield sports clip, combining old photos with old brochures. amazing to see how many products were designed by maui magic, magic marine, booster, mystic and blue performance. showed during farewell party of the founders.

27-03 RED BULL KITEPUNKS 2007, SPAIN

just arrived in la manga, murcia, spain for the red bull kitepunks '07 edition featuring ruben lenten, aaron hadlow, riu meira, leshai miller and many more international kiteboarders. after the first edition in holland last year, red bull chose for la manga, because of its lagune, weather and wind consistancy. check out the red bull spain website for daily video updates.

20-03 SOS CHILDREN'S VILLAGES MORELIA, MEXICO

right now in mexico for sos children's villages holland/ international to film the opening of a new children's village in mexico. editing and showing ruud van nistelrooy's videomessage for the kids, filming hugo sanchez etc, and the normal life in the village. again a good job to do!

05-03 BACK FROM PWA WORLD CUP CABO VERDE

just returned from a trip to the island of sal, cabo verde. together with the tonix crew we filmed at the pwa world tour, scoring incredible conditions! the production has been broadcasted worldwide, because of its perfect content. check out the pwa website for some of our videos.

off to thailand to film for sos children's villages the netherlands. in chiang rai, the north of thailand the 450st sos children's village will be opened. a short week of travelling to chiang rai and bangkok with yvonne van gennip, the dutch ice-skating olympic champion. she's one of the dutch ambassadors of sos. gaining footage for the dutch national tv, the web and the sos archives. really looking forward to helping sos!

dutch surf photographer filmed and edited a new dutch surfing dvd ongetemd. i gave my best north sea watershot footage to be used in the dvd. out now on libertadproductions.

01-11 RED BULL STORMCHASE

today we filmed for the upcoming dvd by big sexy pictures, the red bull stormchase. dutchies kevin mevissen and chris nolles represented for holland, sailing overpowered with 3.5 sails at ijmuiden. release of the dvd this december. proud to be part of it!

finally, after many months of intensive filming and editing, it's there: the wild birds dvd. 47 minutes of true windsurfing experience, plus 75 minutes of extras. get your copy in the wild birds online shop or at your local surfshop!

03-07 APPROACHING THE FINISH + FIRST SHOWING IN THE HAGUE

currently we're in the finishing stage of the 'wild birds' project. dvd authoring, graphic design adding extra features. in about 2 weeks the master DVD will be ready for replication. while the DVD is being replicated 'wild birds' will open the 'enjoy the ride' surffilm festival in the 'filmhuis den haag'. tickets are 10 euro, but if you keep your ticket and you order a 'wild birds' DVD you will get a 6 euro discount. the DVD will be sent to you when it's replicated. in 1 to 2 weeks a new trailer will be released as well.
